Wallabies stranded on small islands are surrounded by freshwater crododiles, says the West Australian.

They are confined to three islands formed by floodwaters, and one of the islands also has a dingo.

The government plans to beginning food drops to wallabies stranded on two small islands in flooded Lake Argyle.

Some of the estimated 200 animals may also be relocated.

Hundeds of wallabies are stranded on a small island formed by Lake Argyle’s rising flood waters.

The island is only about 100 x 300metres in size, and 10km from the shore.
