Man dies on Melbourne – Broome flight

A 77-year-old man died this morning on a Qantas flight from Melbourne, bound for Broome.

Authorities diverted the plane to Adelaide and passengers are to be placed on another plane this afternoon.

Fitzroy Valley: ‘Human error’ killed pilot

The transport safety bureau says human error killed station owner Jillian Jenyns in her helicopter last year.

The official report, released yesterday, says neither Ms Jenyns nor her aircraft should have flown at night.
