Virgin stopping Kununurra to Broome link

Virgin Blue is discontinuing flights between Kununurra and Broome.

Virgin BlueInstead it will increase the number of Kununurra – Perth flights to four per week.

Virgin is also axeing the Broome to Darwin run.

Air North will continue to service both runs.

Broome is to host an international conference of medical researchers some time this year.

The 200 delegates to the European Molecular Biology Organisation conference are expected to spend about $500,000.
