The French Trappist monks had been at Beagle Bay for five years, but later relinquished it to German Palatines.

Vale Father McKelson

Father Kevin McKelson died early on Monday morning in Melbourne.

He was parish priest for many years at La Grange (Bidyadanga) and was said to be one of the few non-Aboriginal people to have mastered the Karajarri language. more »

Barry Haase is critical of the Commonwealth for introducing secular student welfare officers to the schools chaplaincy program.

“In an attempt to appease that minority group in Australia that would condemn religion as being irrelevant on one hand or divisive on the other, they have intended to take Christianity out of our culture on the basis that someone, somewhere may find our foundation Christian traditions offensive,” he said.
