Kununurra: Movie promo helps clothe Warmun people
Breakfast announcer Bradley Shadforth with donations of clothes
Waringarri Radio 6WR ran an innovate promotion for the film Mad Bastards to help clothe Warmun’s flood evacuees.
The carrots were T-shirts signed by Alex Lloyd and Stephen Pigram, who wrote and performed the songs on the movie’s sound track.

Kununurra: ‘Ord Dam safe’ says water corporation
The Water Corporation acted quickly today to quell rumours that the Ord main dam is damaged by floods.
Spokesman David Hawkins said his office had had many concerned calls from Kununurra residents, particularly among the Aboriginal community, but most people are now reassured after on-air announcements by Waringarri Radio.

Mr Day said he would make an unfair dismissal claim against Waringarri Radio.
