Lake Argyle: 200,000 barramundi released
Breeders have released 200,000 more barramundi fingerlings at Lake Argyle.
They are bred in Broome from Ord River stock.
Kununurra: Woman dies in accident
A woman died after her car rolled near Lake Argyle yesterday.
Police say the vehicle aquaplaned after hitting water lying on Victoria Highway.

The woman, an elderly Victorian tourist, died in hospital.
Her husband was also injured in the crash.
The water on the road had come from Tropical Cyclone Christine.

Lake Argyle: Plan to increase dam capacity
Plans are afoot to increase Lake Argyle’s capacity by 10 “Syd-Harbours”.
The Ord-East Kimberley Expansion Project aims to achieve this by increasing the Spillway Creek barrier’s height.

The Ord Land and Water group has been attacking about 1,000 hectares of rubber vine at Lake Argyle.
The groups has also been working to eradicate weeds around Lake Kununurra.

Lake Argyle: First barramundi release
Kimberley Training Institute is releasing the first of its artificially raised barramuni at Lake Argyle this week.

Diversion dam: Saltwater croc sighting

A two-metre saltwater crocodile has been reported below Lake Argyle main dam.
DEC is attempting to trap the animal and remove it.
