Fairfax says more than 100 police will be permanently rostered to police the proposed gas hub site.
Premier Colin Barnett told the Fairfax media a number of “professional protestors” had flown in from around Australia in an attempt to stop further works at the site.

Broome shire rangers are keeping an eye on protestors along the road to James Price Point.
Broome Shire President Graeme Campbell said where the Shire had jurisdiction, a range of local laws came into play with regard to the erection of signage, structures, health and safety, and environmental health.

Protestors against the proposed gas hub have settled in for another season of pickets at Manari Road.
The group camped out along the road to James Price Point for much of last year’s dry season.

James Price Point: EPA report delayed
The Environmental Protection Agency will not recommend on whether to proceed with a gas hub until mid year.
This is a result of revised plans the state government submitted this week.
The state planning commission has moved to take control of planning decision at James Price Point away from the shire.
James Price Point: Dredging ‘could affect Cable Beach’

A green group says dredging for a gas hub at James Price Point could affect Cable Beach.
A new report says the amount of material needed to be dredged from the sea bed to construct the gas hub would be equivalent to filling Perth’s Subiaco Oval to the top of the goal posts more than 85 times.

Browse Basin: Woodside to sell part of its share

Woodside is selling part of its stake in the Browse Basin joint venture.
It is passing a 14.7 percent stake over to Japan Australia LNG, which will reduce Woodside’s interest in the venture from 46 to 31 percent.
The Australian says this makes it less likely that the company will end up processing gas at it’s proposed facility at James Price Point.

James Price Point: Gas fund for all Aboriginal groups

KLC chief Nolan Hunter says a $356million benefit fund is being set up for all Kimberley Aboriginal groups.
Mr Hunter said the money will come from Woodside’s proposed gas hub, and will be a separate fund to the agreement already signed by Goolarabooloo Jabirr-Jabirr people, Woodside and the government.
