A helicopter pilot was found dead and his chopper burned at 7:30 this morning.
A search started when the 34-year-old failed to return to Springvale Station at 6:00pm last night.

Fitzroy Valley: Jerry can blamed for chopper crash
An inquiry found an empty jerry can caused a low-flying chopper to crash while mustering cattle.
The pilot had stowed the jerry can on a passengers seat with a steering wheel, but wind dislodged it and blew it onto a steering control.
He was not injured.

Broome Helicopter Service says it is flying again after a hearing with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Michael and Kate McConachy have bought Heliwork WA and are negotiating to buy Lone Eagle Aviation.
