A pearl diver died while at a dive site yesterday afternoon.

The boat returned to Broome, and water police are flying to Broome today to help investigations.

Derby: ‘Stranded’ anglers may be charged

Two men fishing on Sunday night let off flares when tides stranded their dinghy on a sandbar.

They eventually freed themselves and returned home without notifying authorities, although police and volunteers were out looking for them.

Police say they may be charged.
