A confidential report to government says 6,000 construction workers would have a negative impact on Broome.
The review of the gas hub project at James Price Point was presented to the Department of Environment in Canberra early last year.

Worksafe investigates croc-attack cruise ship

The government agency WorkSafe is investigating the crocodile attack on cruise ship employee Tara Hawkes, 23.
Ms Hawkes was attacked by a crocodile on the weekend at Talbot Bay, and is now being treated for her injuries in Perth.

Broome’s shire president says Broome could not accomodate the 6000 workers needed to build the proposed gas hub.
Graeme Campbell was speaking to a parliamentary inquiry into fly-in, fly-out workers that met at Broome this morning.

This included $27million direct funding and $8.5million from Royalties for Regions.
