Marriott tells cruel beef exporters to leave the industry
Beef industry consultant Catherine Marriott said only a small minority of beef exporters are breaching animal welfare standards.

Kalyeeda Station: Move to breed out Brahman strain
Kaleeya Station, near Fitzroy Crossing, has now bought a total of 57 Droughtmaster bulls.
Farm Weekly sayd the Camp family, which runs Brahman (Bos indicus) cattle on the station, is determined to cross the bloodline with a breed whose meat is more saleable in the south.

The fatty Brahman meat, popular in Asia, has proved difficult to sell in Australia.

The Indonesian government announced import permits for 60,000 Australian cattle.

Wyndham: Abrupt end to cattle export season
Wyndham Port’s cattle export season came to an abrupt end this year when a ship was diverted to Darwin.
A port spokesman said cattle supply was a problem.
