Halls Creek and Tjurabalan: $300,000 suicide fund
Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council has been granted $300,000 to address suicide in Halls Creek and Tjurabalan.
Tjurabalan is a determined native title claim that includes the communities of Ringer Soak, Billiluna, Balgo and Mulan.

Billiluna: Missing people found
A search party has found two people missing from Billiluna community since Saturday.
They were a school teacher and a youth worker, who are believed to be newcomers to the community.
They had driven out to visit a place about 20 kilometres from the community.

Billiluna: Manson tries again for AFL
Billiluna football star Waylon Manson is trying out again for the AFL.
As an ill-prepared 18-year-old, he had an unsuccessful 2011 pitch at the big league but recruiters were not convinced he could adjust to city life and AFL discipline.
Since then, Des Headland has been supporting the outstanding goal kicker and he is to feature in a new reality TV series “The Recruit”.
The winner of a series of weekly challenges is to be guaranteed an AFL listing.

Lake Gregory: 7,000 horses shot
Operators shot an estimated 7,000 feral horses last week at Lake Gregory and Billiluna stations.
A Department of Aboriginal Affairs spokesman said about 3,000 horses are still present on the stations and will need to be culled next year.

A veterinarian employed to monitor the cull has admitted about one percent of horses shot did not die instantly.
Call for feral management plan
The RSPCA has called for a plan to identify and manage feral animals before they reach plague proportions.
The statement came after a massive aerial cull of horses at Lake Gregory and Billiluna stations last week.
Billiluna: Station manager ‘not consulted’ over horse cull
Billiluna station manager Mark Gordon says he was not consulted about the Lake Gregory horse cull.
The West Australian says Mr Gordon wrote to the relevant ministers last week, asking for the cull to be stopped.

Lake Gregory: Support for horse cull

A conservationist who managed an Indigenous ranger program says he supports culling Lake Gregory’s horses.
Wade Freeman said all other attempts to remove the horses had failed.
