Turia portrait in art prize finals
A portrait of bushfire survivor Turia Pitt is a finalist in the prestigious Black Swan portraiture prize.
A bushfire trapped her and other competitors in the 2011 Racing the Planet marathon at El Questro.
Ms Pitt, who was then an engineer at Argyle, had burns to much of her face and body.
She has continued to compete in various events as part of her rehabilitation.

The Perth Mint is displaying a pink Argyle diamond worth more than $500,000.
It is specially cut and set into a gold ingot with a boab tree design.

Argyle: Driver smoke alert
DFES says there is smoke on Great Northern Highway between Warmun and Argyle Diamond Mine turnoff.
Drivers are warned to watch out for the smoke, which is coming from a fire burning about 25 kilometres further east.

Argyle: Mine cuts 78 jobs
Argyle Diamond Mine has shed more staff.
A total of 78 employees of its contractor McMahom Holdings will no longer work at the mine.

Argyle: Red diamonds found
Argyle Diamond Mine has produced three red diamonds which are to tour the world.
Another six of the extremely rare gems have been found in the mine since it started production 30 years ago.
The annual tender, which showcases the year’s gems, travels to Perth, Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York.
Argyle mine goes underground
Underground operations commenced at Argyle Diamond Mine this month.
The switch from open cut operations is expected to extend the mine’s life until 2020.
The owner, Rio Tinto, is trying to sell it.
