Dampier Peninsula: Flooded roads block deliveries

Parts of Cape Leveque Road have been impassable after more than a week of rains.

The ABC says the mail vehicle has been unable to make deliveries for 12 days, and community supplies are running low.

One Arm Point: Man bashes brother with metal bar

A man appeared in Broome Magistrate’s Court today accused of assaulting his brother with a metal bar.

Police say Tony Mark Hunter, 40, hit his 44-year-old brother on the head, causing a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
