A green group says more than 150 police escorted Woodside Vehicles to their depot at James Price Point.

Broome Community No Gas said around 30 Broome residents took part in a protest today at the site of last year’s Blockade.

Kununurra: Mulan’s ex-chairperson jailed for assault

Mulan community’s former chairperson has been jailed for 12 months.

John Gordon, 56, beat his partner with a stick until she was unconscious at Kununurra last year.

James Price Point: 250 extra police flown to Broome

As many as 250 police have arrived at Broome, armed with riot gear.

The are in town to tackle protestors against the gas hub at James Price Point.

About 300 people gathered at Broome’s Courthouse markets, which are opposite the Police Station.

It being Mothers’ Day, they crossed the road and presented the police with an estimated $500 worth of flowers for their  mothers.

Fairfax says more than 100 police will be permanently rostered to police the proposed gas hub site.

Premier Colin Barnett told the Fairfax media a number of “professional protestors” had flown in from around Australia in an attempt to stop further works at the site.

Kununurra: Alligator Airways still grounded

Alligator Airways, forbidden to fly by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), is still grounded.

CASA has applied to have the airline grounded for even longer.
