Broome: Unarmed guards to airlift prisoners
Unarmed guards will soon be used accompany prisoners on flights between Perth and Broome .
The company responsible for Mr Ward’s death will supply the guards in a six-month trial of what is hoped will be a more humane method of prisoner transfer.

A 15-year-old boy admitted raping two toddlers early in the morning of 17 December last year.
His lawyer told the court the boy had been using cannabis and ecstasy that night.

Broome: Woman pleads guilty to manslaughter
A woman has pleaded guilty to killing her husband.
Margaret Mary Baird alledgedly killed the man by stabbing him with scissors in July 2009.

One of the rival operators, charged with stealing and sabotage, lodged a complaint.
Broome: Police seek possible witness to killing
Police wish to interview a woman who drove a green and silver Holden Jackaroo on Friday night.
She ordered food at MacDonalds drive-thru at about 2.40am, about ten minutes after staff refused service to Josh Warneke.
Police hope she or her passenger may have seen something that can help solve the mystery of Mr Warneke’s death.

Broome: Retracing Josh Warneke’s last hour
Police have released details of Josh Warneke’s last known movements hoping someone can help the homicide inquiry.
He spent the evening drinking at home with friends, then at the Roebuck Hotel and Bungalow Bar before walking alone up to MacDonalds.
MacDonalds’ CCTV camera caught his image at 2.30am, half an hour before a taxi driver found him dead.

Broome: Homicide task force formed
Police have formed a task force to investigate the death of 21yo Josh Warneke on Friday night.
Major crime detectives and crash investigators are trying to piece together his movements just before he died.
His death had initially been thought to be a hit-and-run incident but he may have been assaulted.
Broome: Roadside death ‘could be murder’
Police are now treating the death of a man on Friday night as a possible murder.
Josh Warneke, found on Broome Highway on Friday night, has head injuries consistent with either an assault or a hit-and-run.
