Trust calls for Australian of the Year nominations

Turia is woman of the year


Kimberley ultramarathon burns survivor Turia Pitt has been named NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year.


She was one of four people caught in a bushfire during the 2011 “Racing the Planet” event at El Questro.

The organisers continue to stage desert events in various parts of the world, but have not returned to Australia and have removed all references to the Australian event from their website.
