Kununurra: Chinese buying old sugar mill
The Chinese developer of Ord Stage II is negotiating to buy Kununurra’s disused sugar mill.

The West Australian says the company will use it to process sorghum which is to be grown as an interim crop, before full-scale sugar production commences.
Meanwhile, new irrigation pipes have now been found to be leaking.
It is expected to cost $11 – 13 million to repair them.
