Bushfire ‘all clear’

DFES has issued an “all clear” notice for a fire that burned along Great Northern Highway, 50km north of Sandfire.

Bushfire ALL CLEAR for 50 kilometres north of Sandfire Roadhouse in the Shire of Broome

 

ALERT LEVEL:

An ALL CLEAR advice has been issued for people travelling along Great Northern Highway, 50 kilometres north of the Sandfire Roadhouse in the Shire of Broome.

• The bushfire burning in Anna Plains Station, alongside Great Northern Highway, 50 kilometres north of the Sandfire Roadhouse in the Shire of Broome has been extinguished.

• The danger has passed but you need to remain vigilant in case the situation changes.

EXTRA INFORMATION:

 

• The fire was reported at 11.15am on Thursday 26 June 2014

• The cause of the fire is was accidental, and it was started by a truck fire.

• Anna Plains Station pastoralists have extingusihed the fire and left the area safe.

 

No further updates will be issued.
