Fitzroy Crossing: Appeal to return stolen Karrayili vehicle

Staff at Fitzroy Crossing’s Karrayili adult education centre say someone stole the school’s troopie last Tuesday.

It may have been abandoned in Broome.

Staff are appealing for anyone knowing the whereabouts of the white Toyota Landcruiser, rego 1DJH973, to contact Fitzroy Crossing police on 9191 5000.

“It has been seen a few times, but the police are still looking for it,” says a staff memo.

“Please look out for a White Toyota Landcruiser (V8, it has the bonnet scoop).”

“The vehicle was last seen in Broome the week it was stolen,” said lecturer Irene Jimbidie.

“Karrayili and the police know who stole the vehicle but the culprits (all juveniles) are not giving police any information of where they left it.

“If you are a family of one of these young fellas and know about the whereabouts of the vehicle, then I urge you to contact the police, even if it’s an anonymous call.

“This is a very serious offence and can lead to your loved one being sent to a juvenile detention centre.”
