Chopper crash investigation results
An investigation into a tourist helicopter crash at Talbot Bay in 2008 is now complete.
It found the helicopter’s outer engine combustion case burst due to fatique, causing the machine, pilot, and six passengers to crash into the water.

The cruise manager responsible praised his staff for rescuing all passengers.
He said the crew of the cruise ship on which the helicopter was based are all well trained in emergency procedures.
The engine casing had passed and inspection for cracks just six days before the incident.
The engine’s manufacture is now said to be redesigning the casing to prevent cracks.

Kununurra: New bypass planned for trucking route
The government is planning a new route that would take road trains away from the diversion dam.
The new heavy haulage route would include a bridge over the Ord River.

Halls Creek: More on Koongie Park copper
A finance writer says share prices rose when explorers first found zinc at Koongie Park in 1996.
His comments come after Anglo Australian Resources shares rose 45% last Wednesday after the company released drilling results showing deposits of copper, zinc, silver and gold.
