Town Beach Playground
to Undergo Refurbishment
While the Water Playground is currently being constructed, the Shire of Broome is taking the opportunity to refurbish the existing children’s playground at Town Beach.
Parks & Gardens Supervisor Clint Hankinson said the children’s playground will be closed to the public from March 15 for a number of weeks.
“We will be removing the sand soft fall and upgrading it with rubber soft fall,” said Mr Hankinson.
“The playground equipment will be sanded back and receive a fresh coat of paint,” he said.
Director of Community Services Denisa Konecny said that the refurbished playground would complement the new water playground.
“Town Beach has always been popular with families,” said Ms Konecny.
“The introduction of a water playground, the refurbishment of the existing children’s playground and additional landscaping will ensure Town Beach remains a family precinct into the future,” she said.
