Broome: Golf club wins top state award
Broome Golf Club has just taken out the WA Golf Industry Awards “best pro-am” prize.
The award is for the Kimberley Truss and Broome Furnishings Pro Am Tournament.
We just heard from Broome golf club’s professional Bill Minns. He writes:
“Carol Howe and I travelled to Perth for the WA Golf industry awards on Monday Night at the Burswood (400 in attendance) and I am very pleased to announce that little old Broome Golf Club was voted by the professionals the BEST Pro am in WA for 2009.
“To all of our sponsors of the event over the past three yrs I would like to thankyou over and over again, to all of the volunteers,staff and all that have played thankyou.
“The interest it created for the club and Broome itself was quite amazing.
“This years event will be held on the 2nd and 3rd July and I will guarantee it to be better than last year.”
