Land and Water taskforce: CSIRO defends report
The CSIRO defended the science used to compile the Northern Land and Water Taskforce report last week.
It also said it was upbeat about future food development in the north.
The comments came after Senator Heffernan, who was stood down from the taskforce by the Rudd government, said he would launch a senate inquiry into the report.
Senator Eggleston said the taskforce’s terms of reference were not broad enough.
