Halls Creek: Grog ban results released

A government report due out today (3 February) shows drastic changes in Halls Creek since grog restrictions came into place.

This may prompt the director of liquor licensing to roll out similar restrictions to other Kimberley towns.

Police attendances Down 53%
Alcohol-related assaults Down 30%
Alcohol-related hospital presentations Down 47%
Sobering-up shelter presentations Down 68%
Visitors Centre sales Sales to 260 more people
Visitors Centre sales Up 55%
