Kununurra: Crash family flown to Perth
Two adults and one of their children were flown to Perth after a road accident.
This contradicts an earlier report by KimberleyPage in which we said the family was to be flown to Darwin.
KimberleyPage understands Darwin hospital did not have the necessary facilities to care for the family.

Paul and Jane Stone are leaving Stanford Station, Victoria River, after more than 20 years managing the property.
The couple, who met at Kununurra, are moving to Queensland.

Derby: Plane engine fails
Four people escaped death last night when the light aircraft they were travelling in had engine failure.
They were only minutes away from Derby airport, and the pilot managed to glide the PC-12 in for a safe landing.

Kununurra: All ambulances used at NT crash site

Kununurra's three ambulances
An accident reported earlier today in the Northern Territory required all three of Kununurra’s ambulances.
Ambulance volunteer Ros Eatts, who attended the accident, said the community paramedic also used his own vehicle to take a doctor and a nurse to the scene 105km west of Timber Creek.
She said it was lucky there were no serious accidents in the East Kimberley this afternoon. more »
Broome: Six jellyfish stings this month
Shire officer Jo Durbridge says poisonous jellyfish stung another swimmer yesterday.
“We have received notice from the hospital that there was another sting yesterday (Thursday 28 January) at around 3.30pm in Dampier Creek,” she said.
This brings the total reported stings in Broome to six for the month.
Dampier Creek is a tidal creek on the south side of Chinatown and Male Oval.
Tanami Gold buys into the NT
The company that owns a desert gold mine just west of the NT border has bought an NT gold project.

Wyndham and Kununurra: Opposition supports ambulance volunteers
The state opposition has come out in favour of 30 ambulance volunteers who threaten to walk off the job.
