Mandy Martin
Melbourne artist Mandy MartinĀ spent time working with artists from Mankaja Art Centre at Fitzroy Crossing earlier this year.
She has just exhibited her work from the Kimberley trip at Australian Galleries (Melbourne) along with paintings by Butcher Cherel, Mervyn Street, June Davis, Edna Shaw, Clayton Cherel, Daisy Smith, June Smith, Daisy Andrews, John (Prince) Siddon, John Nargoodah, Rohanna Cherel, Katrina Cherel, Isaac Cherel and John Henwood.
Mandy’s landscape paintings are very different in style to the Aboriginal artists’ more abstract work, but because they worked together using the same materials, paints and colours the paintings sit comfortably together as an exhibition.

At the exhibition opening in Melbourne:
Stuart Purves, Mandy Martin, Carol Jubadah , Katie McGuire, Rohanna Cherel & Katrina Cherel.
