Kununurra: Boys charged with rape
Police say three boys raped a 12-year-old girl while she was drunk and sleeping.
The boys are aged 11, 13 and 14.

Police say Wyndham’s five feuding families often “don’t know why” they are fighting.
Superintendant Smallpage said the brawl on Christmas morning, in which an officer was badly bashed, was started by young people who probably had no idea what the original argument was between the families.

Eco Beach workers rescued baby turtles from several nests after Cyclone Lawrence passed last week.
The cyclone had cut into the beach, creating a sandy cliff that the tiny animals could not negotiate.

Tourism Australia has withdrawn support from a project to recreate a film set at Kelly’s Knob.
Faraway Downs homestead, used in Baz Luhrmann’s AUSTRALIA, was to have been re-erected and run by MG Aboriginal Corporation as a tourist attraction.
