Halls Creek: Funeral director quits

Wyndham undertaker Imelda Agars says she will not do any more Halls Creek funerals.
Ms Agars said she pulled out because of disputes with the shire over licensing, and several Halls Creek families not paying their funeral bills.

Shire CEO Warren Olsen said the shire has licensed one Derby-based funeral director since introducing the new licensing requirements.
“We’ve got a list. It’s actually only got one name on it,” he said.
“It’s up to any funeral directors to apply, one of them did apply in July – he’s got his license for the year,” said Mr Olsen.
