Billiluna wins ‘Healthy Eating’ award
Juliet Cresp, Glennis Stephens, Tossie Baadjo, Gracie Mosquito, Palyalatju Maparnpa chairman Bede Lee and Halls Creek Shire President Jim Craig
Billiluna (Mindibungu) community has taken out first prize in a state-wide nutrition award.
Put together by the desert cultural health organisation Palyalatju Maparnpa, it involves the store and community members in the small desert community.
Halls Creek Shire, who sponsored the nomination, presented cheques and plaques to Palyalatju Maparnpa Health Committee and Kurrungku Store yesterday.
