Kununurra: Would-be hemp farmers sue government

A company that produced six tonnes of hemp seed in a trial planting last year is suing the Department of Agriculture for loss of earnings. They allege the Department allowed their Chinese variety to be cross-pollinated by a Canadian strain, and also failed to recognise their exclusive rights to the variety for Australia and New Zealand.
